Biography
William Judson came to Georgia State in the summer of 2011, working as a graduate assistant in student-athlete development with the football team while enrolled in the sports administration program. Judson was named an academic advisor in December 2012.
He was promoted to academic coordinator in August of 2013 and begins his third year in that role.
Coming out of college in 2009, Judson spent three months as a summer intern on the Detroit Lions player personnel staff. He became wide receivers coach at Lindsey Wilson College and then moved on in a similar role at Hampton in June 2010.
At Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Ga., Judson was a standout in football and track. He was recruited to Florida A&M in 2004 and later transferred to Illinois, playing his final three seasons of football in the Big Ten while earning his bachelor’s degree in 2009. He followed in the family tradition as Judson’s father played throughout the 1980s as a defensive back with the Miami Dolphins.
Judson, who turns 30 in December, 2015 earned his master’s degree from Georgia State.
