2011: Earned a spot on the team during fall practice as a walk on and will enter the 2011 season with two years of eligibility...Saw action in eight games...Recorded a pair of putouts in a 5-0 victory over Morehead State...Saw action in three other wins including victories over Furman, 8-0, Drexel, 7-3, and Drexel, 13-1...Recorded two putouts against Furman...Helped turn a double play in the games against Morehead State and Furman...Also saw action in all three Delaware games and the first game against rival Mercer.

Prep: Graduated from McIntosh High School in the spring of 2008...Lettered four years for the Lady Chiefs in softball and three in basketball...Also assisted the baseball team as a manager and scorekeeper, earning two letters...As a senior, earned a place on the All-Fayette County first team as a shortstop...Was named defensive MVP for the Lady Chiefs as a senior...Produced the most steals for the team as a sophomore...As a senior, hit .338 with 25 hits, 22 RBI and a .424 OBP...Was a member of the Spanish Honor Society and on the honor roll...Was a HOPE Scholarship recipient.

Personal: Holly Rachael Houghton was born on June 15, 1990 to Jim and Jody Houghton...Has a younger brother, Andy...Mom was on the first Georgia Tech team ever in 1978 as a pitcher...Had an aunt who also played at Georgia Tech...Has a pair of relatives that played with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig...Attended Kennesaw State for two years before coming to GSU...Enjoys art, photography and TV...Majoring psychology with a minor in photography...Hopes to one day be a counselor.
