Started 52 games in her senior season at GSU…Recorded 28 hits with four runs, four doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI and nine walks…Went 2-for-3 vs. ETSU (Feb. 25), Jacksonville State (Feb. 26), ULM (May 1) and Georgia Southern (May 6)…Blasted two home runs, the first of her career, at Georgia Southern on May 6

2021
Appeared in 26 games with 18 starts…Recorded seven hits with seven runs, one triple, five RBI and nine walks…Went 2-for-2 in Game 2 at UNCW…Delivered a two-run triple March 5 at Buffalo…Recorded two RBI in games against Buffalo and North Florida.

2020
Made 9 starts and 15 appearances… Recorded three RBI and scored five times… Went 1-for-3 with three RBI against Monmouth Feb. 16.

2019
Started in 31 games as a freshman batting .238 with two doubles… She had six multi-hit games including a 3-for-3 performance against South Florida on Feb. 23 and a 3-for-4 performance against Georgia Southern with two RBI on May 2.

Four-time state champion at Buford... Scored the winning run during the 2017 state championship game… Went 3 for 3 (2-1B, 1-3B) at the 18U Atlanta Legacy Invitational Championship… Awarded the 2017 Gwinnett Diamond Club Scholar Athlete… Earned the Gwinnett Dugout Club Academic Award… Named 2015 All-Region 8-AAA... Played AAU with Georgia Impact, winning the 2018 PGF Nationals 18U Premier, 2018 Atlanta Legacy 18U Invitational, 2015 Georgia ASA 16U State Championship, 2014 Georgia ASA 16U State Championship, and the 2014 Colorado Sparkler 14U Gold Championship... Finished runner-ups at the 2018 IDT 18U and the 2017 USA Elite Select WFC 18U.

Mary Gabrielle Benson was born on November 1, 1999 in Gainesville, Ga… Daughter of Bill and Cyndi Benson and the youngest of three… Letter three years for Buford's tennis team and helped team to two state semifinals.
