Biography

Shawn Swenson joined the Georgia State athletic department in July 2014 as Director of Finance after spending a year working in GSU’s Finance and Administration department on campus.

Previously Swenson spent eight years at US Bank as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Finance in Madison, Wis.  With US Bank, he arranged over $250 million in financing for commercial real estate acquisitions and developments.

Swenson graduated from Wisconsin in 2000 with double major in Finance and Banking and Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. He is a native of DeForest, Wis., and along with wife Laura, has one son Jordan. Laura is a professor of accounting at GSU.
