Patrick Hampton

Biography

Patrick Hampton joined the Georgia State Athletics Department in June 2013 as an intern with Strength and Conditioning before becoming a graduate assistant in the department in July 2014. He currently works primarily with women’s tennis while assisting with football and women’s track and field. While an intern he predominately assisted with football while also helping with men’s and women’s basketball, women’s track and field and women’s tennis.

Prior to his arrival at Georgia State, Hampton coached high school football in 2012 at O’Fallon Township High School just east of St. Louis where he was in charge of the defensive line. While there he also assisted with the off-season strength and conditioning program for football.

Hampton graduated from South Florida in 2011 with a degree in communications after playing five seasons at defensive end and special teams for the football team. He recorded 15 starts between his junior and senior seasons.

Hampton, who is originally from Ellenwood, Ga., and graduated from Martin Luther King Jr. High School, is working to obtain his Master’s in Health and Physical Education. He is USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Level 1 certified.
