Biography

Matt Axelrod is in his seventh year as Georgia State’s football video coordinator.

He was named the 2016-17 Sun Belt Conference Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association.

Axelrod began working with the GSU program as an intern in 2011 and was elevated to coordinator before the 2013 season.

As an undergraduate student at Florida State, he worked with the Seminoles athletic department as an assistant student videographer.

Axelrod earned his bachelor’s degree in American history from Kennesaw State in 2013. He is married to the former Michelle Porter, and the couple recently welcomed their first child, Benjamin.
