Darren Criswell

Biography

Darren Criswell joined the Georgia State Department of Athletics as Director of Sports Turf and Grounds in October 2015, directing operations for all athletic fields and common areas. 

Criswell came to Georgia State after serving as the practice field manager and assistant field manager for the Real Salt Lake Major League Soccer franchise.

He has also served on the grounds staff for the Chicago Cubs spring training facility in Mesa, Ariz., (2015) and as an intern at the University of Arizona (2014), his alma mater.

Criswell previously maintained fields for the cities of Mesa, Ariz., (2010-12) and Peoria, Ariz., (2008-10).

Criswell is a 2014 graduate of Arizona with a degree in agriculture technology management and education with a concentration in turfgrass management.
