Camille Harris

Biography

Camille Harris has been a member of the Georgia State athletic staff since 2013 and is currently serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She is working primarily with the Panthers’ football and men’s and women’s tennis programs in 2014-15 after previously serving as the certified athletic trainer for the GSU softball team.

Harris is currently working toward a Master of Science in athletic training from Georgia State and she plans to finish in May of 2015.  Prior to moving to Atlanta, she graduated from Alabama in 2013 with a B.S. in athletic training and a minor in nutrition from the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program.

While in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Harris served as a student athletic trainer for the Crimson Tide football, soccer and volleyball teams. In 2012, she worked with Alabama’s football team that went on to win the Southeastern Conference championship and the BCS national championship.

Harris also worked with the Vanderbilt football team during the summer of 2012 as an athletic training intern, in addition to working with Tuscaloosa County High School during the fall of 2011.

A native of Birmingham, Ala., Harris is Licensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Georgia Department of Health and a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Southeastern Athletic Trainers’ Association. Harris is also a certified in CPR/AED for professional rescuers and health care providers and in emergency medical response by the American Red Cross.
