Biography


A former Georgia State student-athlete, Ashley Jones works as a graduate assistant for the Associate A.D. for Student-Athlete Development.

Jones was a three-time all-conference volleyball player, while also being a three-time  conference player of the week during her career as a Panther. She finished sixth in school history in kills with 1,087 during her four-year career that ended in 2011. Jones earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology.

The daughter of former NBA player and college basketball coach, Zach Jones, Ashley was also an excellent basketball player in high school. Her first two years of high school were in San Diego, Calif. and her final two in Lynchburg, Va. after her father accepted a coaching job at Liberty. As a senior point guard, Jones was the district player of the year in Lynchburg, in addition to being named All-Virginia in volleyball
