2008: Earned Second Team All-CAA honors as well as CAA All-Rookie honors...Named CAA Pitcher of the Week twice on 2/19 and 3/24...Ranked 17th in the nation with 9.7 strikeouts per seven innings...Finished second in the CAA with a 1.19 ERA, third in earned runs allowed and second in hits allowed...Ranks second in CAA with 163 strikeouts and tied fifth with 14 wins... Went 14-5 despite battling injury in the middle of the season...Started 15 games in 20 appearances with 14 complete games and four shut-outs...Fanned a team-high 163 batters through 117 1/3 innings of work...Had game-high 14 strike outs against Delaware on 3/22.

Prep: Lettered in softball all four years at Sequoyah High School...Was named 2006 Georgia AAAA Pitcher of the Year and 2006 All-County Team for her performance as a senior...She played in 42 games with 23 walks, seven doubles, four triples, three home runs and 22 RBI...Mills pitched 183 innings with 332 strikeouts and 0.19 ERA...She was the MVP for Sequoyah for three years straight and pitched all six games in the State Championship...Mills was a 2006 AAAA All-State Team honoree and named to the GACA All-Star Roster...She was the 2006 Gatorade player of the year.

Personal: Born on February 4, 1989 in Marietta, Georgia...Parents are Joseph and Michelle Mills...Has one older sister, Amanda...She intends to major in Biology and minor in Education...Alicia chose Georgia State because she loves the atmosphere and her fellow teammates.
