Biography
Track and Field 2010: Redshirted indoor season...Competed in the long and triple jumps...Jumped 4.73m (15-06.22) at the CAA Championships...Posted a 10.64m (35-10.89) at the CAA Championships...Recorded a measurement of 10.67m (35-00.25) at the Gem of the Hills Invitational...Made the AD's Honor roll for the spring semester.
Track and Field 2009: Did not compete.
Track and Field 2008: Posted a 33’11.25" mark in the triple jump at the Gem of Hills....Competed at the CAA Championship posting a 35’10" mark in the triple jump...Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters...Received CAA All-Academic honors.
Track and Field 2007: Shaina was a great contributor in jumps for the Panthers during her freshman year...Recorded her best finish of the season at the FSU Snowbird Invitational where she placed seventh in the triple jump competition, recording a measurement of 3’4"...Performed her best at the CAA Championship meet where she leapt 36’4.75" to claim 13th place...Was named to the A.D. Honor Roll for the spring semester and also received the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award.
Prep: Shaina comes to the Panthers from Thomson High School, where she lettered in basketball, softball and track each year and was ranked in the top-five percent of her class academically...Her personal best in the triple jump is 34’5...Was voted MVP of her softball team after having the most runs, singles, steals and walks. In basketball she led her team in assists.
Personal: Shaina Charmine Williams’ father, Willie, was her high school track coach...Her twin sister, Shannon, is also a member of the track team at Georgia State...In addition to track, Shaina received recruiting offers to play basketball at LaGrange College...Double majoring in health and physical education and exercise science...Has a son, Jonathan Mance, Jr.
