Biography

Spring 2011: Named to the All-CAA Third Team in singles...recorded an 11-7 singles record playing at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles...She started the season 4-0 and was 3-0 at No. 2 singles...Finished the season 4-2 in conference, including a win over Ana Bara from VCU, 6-1, 6-0, in the semifinals of the CAA tournament...Finished her career with 53 wins in singles, including 34 dual-match wins...Gresova partnered with Othilia Lindqvist, Maryna Kozachenko, Vi Truong, Martina Ondrackova and Tereza Lerova to post a 10-8 record in doubles...Gresova went 4-1 in doubles with Lerova and earned 49 career doubles wins.

Fall 2010: Posted a 4-4 singles record in the fall campaign...Had two victories in the Alabama Invitational against Carolina Faught (UAB), and Rebecca Kirven (Samford)...Partnered with Tereza Lerova in doubles and collected three victories at the Thomasville Invitational...Defeated Glen Arven/Bethany Holt (FAMU), 8-0, to win the doubles title at the Thomasville Invitational.

Spring 2010: Posted a 8-9 singles mark playing at No. 3 and No. 4 singles...played her final eight matches of the season at No. 3 singles, with a record of 4-4, including a 4-2 record in her last six...Had victories over UNC Wilmington's Christina Riley, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, and Old Dominion's Irina Dementyeva, 7-6, 6-2...Finished the season with a victory over South Alabama's Chane Hines, 6-3, 6-0, and a CAA tournament win over James Madison's Rebecca Erickson, 6-3, 6-0...Finished with a 8-9 overall doubles mark while partnering with Kir Kemp and Tereza Lerova...Went 8-7 with Lerova, including wins over Furman's Jennifer Betts/Michele Stanford, 8-4, and East Tennessee State's Paula Jaime/Karina Kedzo, 8-6...Also had two wins at No. 1 doubles against South Alabama's Katie Welch/Maria Boura, 8-6, and James Madison's Kinsey Pate/Katerine Bulling, 8-3.

Fall 2009: Collected nine singles victories during the fall campaign...posted four doubles wins with partner Linda Hricistova...Had a five-match win streak going until it was snapped in the quarter-finals of the Troy Fall Classic, losing a  three-set match, 6-3, 7-6, 6-1 to Parija Maloo of South Alabama.

Spring 2009:  Posted a 7-8 singles mark as the team’s No. 4 singles player...Finished 9-6 in doubles, 7-6 with partner Martina Nitkova...Earned CAA Doubles Team of the Week accolades (Mar. 8) and received highest doubles ranking of No. 70 in ITA polls after defeating 20th-ranked Alex Haney and Melissa Koning (Auburn)...Held longest winning streak in doubles with six straight between Feb. 21-Apr. 4.

Fall 2008: Collected six singles victories during the fall campaign...Clinched the singles title in the back draw at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic hosted by Alabama...Reached the quarterfinals of the B draw at the ITA Regionals.

Spring 2008: Earned second-team All-CAA honors in doubles...Split time between the No. 3, 4 and 5 positions...Posted an 8-12 mark in dual competition...Partnered with Martina Nitkova to post an 11-7 record.

Prep: Attended high school in the Czech Republic where she was a semifinalist at the championships of the Czech Republic...Played volleyball, soccer, floorball, and tennis in high school.

Personal: Born in Havirov, Czech Republic...Parents are Petr Gres and Drahomira Gresova...Has an older brother, Honza Gres, 21...Began playing tennis at the age of 5 and was coached by her father...Enjoys winter sports, especially snowboarding and skiing...Favorite athletes are Andre Agassi, Roger Federer and Jevgenij Pluscenko...Chose Georgia State because of the size of the university and the variety of educational programs.
