Biography

Career: Three-time First Team All-CAA performer (2007, 2009 and 2010)...CAA Rookie of the Year in 2007...Earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team in 2007...Earned four CAA Player of the Week citations in her career...Finished first in GSU history in runs (159) and walks (132), second in hits (243), doubles (47) and at-bats (691) and third in batting average (.352)...43 walks in 2007 is a GSU single-season record...Also in the top five in single-season records for runs scored (49 and 47) and hits (70).

 

2010: Concluded brilliant career with another strong season, earning All-CAA First Team Honors for the third time in her career...Started and played in 50 games on the year, all at third base...Earned CAA Player of the Week honors on April 5 after batting .579 with 11 hits, four RBI, three doubles and three walks as the Panthers went 5-1 on the week...Finished the year batting .346 with 55 hits, 30 runs, 23 RBI, 10 doubles, 29 walks and three homers...Led the team in hits and doubles while batting lead off for the Panthers...Played a key role in the Panthers finishing No. 1 in the NCAA in double plays (35) and double plays per game (0.63) and 23rd in fielding percentage (.972)...Finished the year 11th in the country in the "Toughest to Strikeout" category, only striking out once every 22.7 at-bats...Went 4-for-5 with two RBI against Tulsa in a 5-4 victory...Was 4-for-5 with three RBI and two homers in a 14-8 victory over UNC Wilmington...Went 3-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored in a 11-5 victory over Towson.

2009: Started 49 games as a junior....Earned All-CAA First Team Honors...Was named the CAA Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks (April 20 and April 27)...Third in the CAA with a .440 slugging percentage...Third in the CAA in walks, drawing 28 this season...Became the most-walked player in Georgia State history after bringing her career total to 103...Led the team with a .335 batting average...Tied for the team lead with 11 doubles...Registered 53 hits, including one home run and 20 RBI...Had 16 multiple-hit games, including a nine-game hitting streak from April 28 to May 8...Named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the fall of 2008.

2008: Started 54 games as a sophomore...Second on the team and fourth in the CAA with a .376 batting average...Connected with CAA second-best 65 hits including 13 doubles and two triples...Crossed the plate 47 times for the Panthers, second best in the CAA, while driving in 19 runs...Led the CAA in walks with 32...Finished second in the CAA with a .483 on base percentage...Had 20 multiple-hit games, including a nine game hit-streak from March 1-8.

2007: CAA Co-Rookie of the Year, First-Team All-CAA and All-Rookie team member...One of two players to start all 63 games played...Posted a team high 70 hits with 13 doubles and 21 RBI...Led the league with 43 walks which was team high and school record...Recorded six stolen bases...Ranked nationally in three categories (No. 22 walks and No. 21 in two Toughest to Strikeout categories - strikeouts per game and strikeouts per at-bats)...Was second in the CAA in on base percentage, runs scored and tied for hits...Led the team with a .348 batting average and a .461 on base percentage...Went 1-1 with a home run, a season high four walks, two RBI and three runs scored versus Army on Feb. 17...Was 5-5 with four RBI and a run scored against Furman on Feb. 18...Went 3-4 with a run scored over George Mason on March 24...Hit 3-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored against Towson on April 28...Received CAA Player of the Week honors on Feb. 20.

Prep: Graduated from Woodstock High School in the spring of 2006...Was Athlete of the Week, Defensive Player of the Year and All-Region First Team...Received 25 walks, hit seven doubles and had 18 RBI in 36 games...Lettered four years in softball for the Woodstock Wolverines...All-State in 2004 and 2005...Best individual performance was going 5-5 with two doubles, three singles, and four RBI...Wolverines were state runners-up in 2005 with a 32-4 record.

Personal: Daughter of James and Terri Roddy...Born on November 9, 1987...Has two younger sisters, Nikki and Rachael...Enjoys softball, bowling, putt-putt and movies...Major is psychology.
