AT GEORGIA STATE: Accepted into master's program in Acturarial Sciences.
OUTDOOR 2016: Placed seventh in the 400H (1:03.07) at The Sunbelt Outdoor Track and Field Championships after placing eigth in the preliminary round... Placed Second in the 400H and 4x400m at the 2016 Western Carolina University T&F Invitational... Recorded a personal best in the 400H at the Tiger Classic with a time of 1:02.00... Placed fourth in the 4x100m at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational (45.85) Competed in three events at the Lady Gamecock Quad Meet (JSU)... Won the 4x4oom (3:54.30)...Placed second in the 400H (1:02.89) and 4x100m (47.68)
PREVIOUS COLLEGE:
Competed and earned bachelor's degree in three years in statistics at UNC Asheville in the Big South Conference.
Set school record in 400m hurdles (1:00.62, at Big South Championship preliminary), breaking her own marks of 1:01.56 (at Georgia Tech Invitational) and 1:01.70 (at High Point)...Finished fifth at the Big South Championship Meet in 2015 in 1:02.40...Best outdoor time in 400m was 58.94...Best indoor 400m time was 58.33.
Red-shirted in 2013 outdoor after knee injury during indoor season.
PERSONAL:
Kassandra "Kassie" Pierre has a dual citizenship with the United State and the island of Saint Lucia...Father Desmond Pierre was a track star for Saint Lucia, where he is from, as well as uncle Michael "Midget" Pierre, a middle distance star...Grew up in New York City, graduating from Brooklyn Tech High School, a school specializing in math, science and engineering.
Brother Kyle, 19, runs track at the University of Buffalo.
Kassadra is in graduate school in the Robinson College of Business, studying Acturarial Sciences.
