Biography

Outdoor Track & Field 2011: Came to Georgia State as a fifth-year senior after completing her undergrad at the University of Georgia...Earned All-CAA honors and qualified for the NCAA East Regionals at the CAA Championships after winning the high jump with a leap of 1.71m...Placed in the top three in the high jump at all six meets during the outdoor season...Earned CAA co-Field Athlete of the Week on April 5 after winning the high jump at the Gem of the Hills Invitational with a season-best leap of 1.75 meters...Also won at the Georgia Intercollegiate...Finished second at the Mississippi Open and War Eagle Invitational and third at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.

Indoor Track and Field 2011: Competed in three meets for State in jumping events...Turned in a second place performance at the Tiger Paw Invitational in the high jump with a 1.70m mark...Earned tenth place at the Penn State National Invite in the high jump...Participated in the long jump at the New Balance Collegiate Invite.

University of Georgia (2008-10): Named UGA's 2008 Female Track & Field Freshman Athlete of the Year and the 2009 Female Jumper of the Year...Finished seventh in the high jump at the 2010 indoor SEC Championships...Finished 11th in the high jump at the 2009 NCAA East Regional...College bests include 4,447 points in the heptathlon, 5-9.75 in the high jump and 19-3 in the long jump.

Prep: Graduated from Oconee High School in the spring of 2007...Earned four letters in track and field while competing in the high, long and triple jumps and the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays...Was a two-time state champion in the high jump, winning during 2005 and 2006...Won the state long jump in 2006...Was all-region and all-county in the high jump from 2005-07...Region champ in the long jump in 2005 and 2006...Finished third in state in the high jump in 2007...Team MVP during 2006 and 2007 seasons...Was Oconee County's first gold medalist at state since 1992...Holds the school record in the long jump (18-6), high jump (5-6), triple jump (35-8.33) and the 4x100 relay (49.54)...Also lettered twice in volleyball and twice in basketball.
