OUTDOOR TRACK and FIELD 2015
Ran the 5,000 meters at JSU Quad Opener in a time of 20:43.02 to finish in 12th place.
INDOOR TRACK and FIELD 2015
Ran the mile at ETSU with a time of 5:58.92 to finish 41st...Competed in the 3,000m run at Samford (11:45.29, 50th) and at ETSU (12:07.99, 20th)...Ran the 5,000m event at ETSU (20:13.99, 37th) and at UAB (20:27.30, 8th).
CROSS COUNTRY 2014
Ran in three meets with a best of 33rd place in JSU Foothills with time of 21:10...Placed 47th in season-opening meet at Western Carolina...Ran in Alabama Crimson Classic and finished 178th of 292 runners.
CROSS COUNTRY 2013
Ran in six meets in first season at Georgia State, missing first three with injury...Her best time in the 4K was 17:35.74 (GSU Invitational), with a best in the 5K of 20:51.1 (Sun Belt Championships) and a best in the 6K of 24:46.8 (NCAA South Region)...Was 15th of the 45 runners at the Coach “O” Classic at Troy...Was 134th of 288 runners at the Louisville Classic, putting her in the top half of that large field.
CROSS COUNTRY 2011 and 2012
Spent her first two seasons at West Georgia, a Division II member of the Gulf South Conference...As freshman, was West Georgia’s top runner from the opening race to the NCAA Regional in Tampa... Even ran against Georgia State in the GSU Invitational, finishing 30th in 25:05...Ran a 24:10 at the Regional, leading her team to a ninth-place finish...An injury prevented her from running last year during her sophomore season.
PREP
At Dalton High School in northwest Georgia, qualified for the state championship all four years in cross country....Finished in the top 20 in the state meet as a senior in 2010 and ninth in the regional championship race...Was All-Whitfield County all four years, all-area for two seasons and Best of Preps two times.
Chosen as the 2009 cross country runner of the year and named to the All-League Chattanooga team three times... Was a region champ in track in the 3200 meters in 2011and was her school’s most valuable track runner three years...Had a best time of 11:48 in the 3200m...Finished sixth at the state meet in the 3200m and seventh in the 1600 meters...Ran 5:26 in the 1600 meters...Also played soccer as freshman in high school... Received Leadership Award for track and field as senior.

Born in Acambaro, a city northwest of Mexico City in the southern portion of Mexico..Daughter of Rogelro and Maria Luisa Nieto and is youngest of five children...Was born Carina Ramirez Nieto Aug. 19, 1993...Speaks Spanish, German and English...Graduated with honors and was 15th in her class...Enjoys reading, writing, painting, dancing, fashion and art...Has aspiration of becoming an actress/humanitarian...A good community citizen, worked with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and San Joseph’s Catholic Church...Earned Athletic Director’s Honor Roll at Georgia State in 2013 and Dean’s List in the spring of 2015 ... Majoring in psychology.
