ATLANTA – Georgia State women's soccer returns home as the Panthers face SOCON opponent ETSU on Thursday, Sep. 3 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

This contest marks the second time these two teams have played each other. The Panthers are 1-0-0, with the one contest being a 3-0 home win on Sep. 10, 2004.

The Last Time Out

Georgia State faced SEC foe Auburn, playing to a 1-1 draw. Senior forward Aaliyah Faddoul recorded her seventh goal of the season in the 22nd minute.

Both the Panthers and the Tigers had players exit the game due to red cards and the game finished with 10 players on each side. Junior goalkeeper Alondra Iriarte recorded three saves on the night, all in the first half. 

Perfect on the Home Pitch

Georgia State has been a perfect 2-0-0 playing at the GSU Soccer Complex in the 2026 season. 

On Aug. 16, the Panthers dominated Truett-McConnell 7-0 on Senior Night, with Faddoul recording a hat trick. A week later, Georgia State protected its home again, beating Wofford 3-0 thanks to a pair of early goals from Faddoul and a second half strike from Sunniyah Tucker.

Scouting the Bucaneers

ETSU comes into the game 3-1-0 on the season, led by seventh-year Head Coach Jay Yelton. The Bucaneers opened the season with a 4-0 road loss to Vanderbilt. On Aug. 20, ETSU picked up its first win of the season again West Georgia, winning 1-0. The Bucaneers have since picked up wins at UNC Asheville and at Longwood to improve to 3-1-0.
