GAINESVILLE, Ga.- Senior Mencia Maruri Abaigar led the Panthers to a fifth overall finish at the UNG XC Invitational on Friday evening.

Maruri clocked an 18:34.0 time to finish second overall in the meet and lead the Panthers in the 5K.

Following closely behind was Sophomore Destinee Frink with a 19:04.2 time to finish fifth in the race.

 Charlotte Tooze clocked a personal-best 20:29.4. This sophomore knocked off 47 seconds from her previous personal-best.

 

MEET NOTES:
Freshman Maya Saldana finished with a 24:55.4 time.

The Panthers will head to Fairburn, Ga. to compete in the Georgia Tech Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 2nd.
