ATLANTA, Ga. -- Georgia State got a pair of goals from Aaliyah Faddoul in a 3-0 shutout win against Wofford on Sunday at home at GSU Soccer Complex.
Georgia State improved to 2-2-0 overall following the victory and 2-0-0 at home.
How it Happened
Georgia State took an early 1-0 lead when Faddoul notched her fifth goal of the season in the third minute.
The Panthers made it 2-0 on a second goal from Faddoul in the seventh minute. The goal came off an assist from freshman Brielle Delgado. The Panthers took 21 shots in the first period to the Terriers 2.
In the second half, the Panthers found the back of the net again in the 56th minute as junior forward Sunniyah Tucker scored unassisted.
Goalkeeper Alondra Iriarte picked up two saves in the half and completed the shutout for the Panthers. Georgia State outshot Wofford 32-6 in the game and took nine corner kicks to the Terriers one.
The Panthers travel to take on Auburn on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
