ATLANTA – Georgia State women's soccer hosts Truett-McConnell for its home opener on Sunday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
The Panthers will celebrate the six seniors entering their last year with the program.
The contest marks the second official meeting between the two programs. Georgia State won the first contest 7-0 on Aug. 14, 2025. Georgia State enters the match 0-1-0 in the young season, while Truett-McConnell has yet to play a game.
Panthers Look For First Win
Georgia State dropped the season opener at UAB 4-2. Captain Aaliyah Faddoul scored a goal and assisted freshman Brielle Delgado's goal that tied the game before half. Keeper Alondra Iriarte recorded a save on the night as well. The Panthers aim to avoid starting the season with back-to-back losses.
Senior Celebration
The Panthers will celebrate Senior Night on Sunday. Anna Cup, Faddoul, Therese Brink, Himari Sato, Hina Suzuki and Hannah Roe will be recognized for their accomplishments on and off the field during their time at Georgia State.
Kickoff for Sunday's home opener is set for 7 p.m. at the GSU Soccer Complex. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to support the Panthers in their first home test of the year.
