Box Score KENNESAW, GA — Georgia State Men's Tennis claimed an early lead courtesy of a pair of doubles wins, but could not close the door on their rivals to the north at Kennesaw State. The Owls overwhelmed in the singles portion and handed the Panthers a 5-2 loss.
In doubles play,
Gabriele Datei and
Arthur Attrill closed out a successful weekend on the top line, winning their second straight match by a final score of 6-4.
Gustav Andersson and
Sota Minami joined their teammates in the win column, surviving a scare from Kennesaw on line three, 7-5. For the second time in as many matches on the weekend, the Panthers took a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
The Owls posed a tougher challenge in singles play.
Cem Atlamis was the only Panther able to secure a point, bouncing back from a hard-fought loss on Saturday with a three-set victory over his counterpart from Kennesaw. The other four singles points went the way of the Owls.
