ATLANTA – Georgia State women's soccer has officially released its 2025 roster, as announced by head coach Ed Joyce on Monday.
Georgia State's 2025 roster is powered by a strong core of returners, including 2025 Team Captains Aaliyah Faddoul and Brook Nelson.
Junior forward Aaliyah Faddoul, who earned 2024 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and 2024 Sun Belt All-Conference First Team honors, led the team in goals, points, and game-winners last season.
Junior forward Sunniyah Tucker adds balance to the attacking third, having appeared in all 19 matches last season while contributing two goals and two assists. Senior Emily Glenn also returns after dishing out a team-high five assists and finishing third on the team in total points.
In the midfield and backline, senior Brook Nelson and junior defender Therese Brink provide a veteran presence in the defensive unit.
The 2025 roster features a mix of talent with 13 newcomers, including nine freshmen, three transfers, and one graduate student.
Carys Fraser | Midfielder | St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary | Vancouver, Canada
Fraser joins Georgia State after a standout prep career in British Columbia, where she averaged two goals and two assists per game. She was a First Team selection on both the NSSSAA and BC Catholic Starting 11 in 2024 and was named Team MVP at St. Thomas Aquinas. She played club soccer for Burnaby FC in the BCSPL and League1 BC.
Alba Zaccagnino | Midfielder | Blessed Trinity Catholic HS | Montreal, Canada
Zaccagnino comes to Atlanta after leading Blessed Trinity to the 2025 Class 4A State Championship and earning Region 6 Player of the Year. She recorded 12 goals and nine assists during the 2024–25 season and played club soccer for Roswell Santos SC. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and a St. Joseph Difference Maker Award recipient.
Elena Lizarralde Arano | Forward | Zumaiena | Zumaia, Spain
Lizarralde Arano brings international success from Spain, where she helped her team win the Basque League and Championship in 2025, scoring eight goals in 14 matches. A versatile attacker and defender, she competed for Real Sociedad's youth system and has won multiple league titles during her youth career.
Himari Sato | Midfielder | Cowley College | Otsu, Japan
Sato transfers in after starting 41 matches over two seasons at Cowley College, contributing three goals and nine assists and winning back-to-back district championships. She earned KJCAA Second Team honors in 2024. At the high school level, she played 120 games for Kyoto Seika HS and helped win three consecutive Kyoto Prefecture titles.
Lily Sawyer | Defender | Northgate HS | Sharpsburg, Ga.
Sawyer was a dominant force at Northgate, where she scored 17 goals in her senior year and earned First Team All-State honors. A three-time All-Region selection, she led Northgate to a 20–3 record and state tournament appearance in 2025. She competed at the club level with United Futbol Academy.
Alondra Iriarte | Goalkeeper | UW-Green Bay | Isla Verde, Puerto Rico
Iriarte joins the Panthers after spending the 2024 season at UW-Green Bay, where she made three appearances and earned a shutout against Youngstown. She was a standout at Western Reserve Academy in Ohio, posting seven shutouts and earning Defensive MVP and First Team Greater Akron honors.
Hina Suzuki | Forward | Cowley College | Chita, Japan
Suzuki arrives in Atlanta after an elite career at Cowley College, where she scored 25 goals and recorded seven assists across two seasons. In 2024, she was named a First Team NJCAA All-American, KJCCC Offensive Player of the Year, and helped Cowley reach the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
Nora Donaldson | Midfielder | Johns Creek HS | Johns Creek, Ga.
Donaldson graduated early after a decorated three-year career at Johns Creek, where she helped the team reach the GHSA Elite Eight and Final Four. A two-time All-Region honoree and team captain, she also earned President's List honors at Georgia State during her first semester on campus.
Cadence Setzer | Forward | Crest HS | Shelby, N.C.
Setzer brings a prolific scoring record with 137 career high school goals. A two-time All-State selection, she was named 2024 Big South 3A Offensive Player of the Year. Setzer comes from a family of collegiate athletes and played club soccer for Charlotte Independence.
Sienna Leckey | Midfielder | Foyle College | Londonderry, Northern Ireland
Leckey begins her graduate studies in Sport Administration at Georgia State after a successful academic and athletic career in Northern Ireland. Her older sister played collegiate soccer at Marshall University.
Haley Pazahanick | Midfielder | Klein Cain HS | Spring, Texas
Pazahanick enrolled early at Georgia State after earning All-District, MVP, and Starting XI honors in the Greater Houston area. She was ranked as the No. 10 midfielder in Texas by Top Drawer Soccer and played club soccer for ECNL Challenge SC.
Adriana Arrasate | Defender | Askatasuna BHI | Villava, Spain
Arrasate brings professional-level experience from Spain, where she played for Mulier FCN and logged 3,975 minutes across two seasons. She helped U.C.D. Burladés win the Copa Navarra Infantil-Cadete in 2022 and scored 10 goals over the last two campaigns.
Jessica Fidhi | Midfielder | Curé-Antoine-Labelle | Montreal, Canada
Fidhi was named 2023 Team MVP and Best Athlete of the Year at Curé-Antoine-Labelle, where she helped lead her team to a regional title and a second-place finish at provincials. She competed in the RSEQ league as a central midfielder and was known for her vision and control in the center of the field.
