Georgia State Wins Third Consecutive Sun Belt Title

Foley, Ala. - Georgia State defeated UNC Wilmington, 3-1, en-route to winning a third consecutive Sun Belt Conference Title. With the victory, the Sandy Panthers automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship Tournament held in Gulf Shores, Ala., May 2-4. 

Tournament Notes 
* The Sandy Panthers were propelled by wins from court 1 (Aree Keller/Ayla Johnson), court 3 (Aliisa Vuorinen/Ella Mozeleski), and court 4 (Danica Singleton/Michaela Jefferson).
* Aree Keller and Ayla Johnson were named Pair of the Tournament
* Danica Singleton and Michaela Jefferson earned All-Tournament Team Honors 
* Amanda Chambers won the Elite Award, which is given to the student-athlete reaching the pinnacle of competition while also achieving the highest cumulative GPA among participating players on the last day of the championship
* GSU faced UNCW three times during the 2025 campaign, besting the Seahawks in each contest. 
* Today's contest marked the first Sun Belt Conference Finals dual between GSU and UNCW.
* GSU entered the week as the No. 2 seed. UNCW was the No. 3-seed heading into tournament play.

* The Sandy Panthers will find out their opponent during the Selection Show, airing Sunday (4/27) at 1:00 p.m. on NCAA.com
* The NCAA Championship will be played in Gulf Shores, Ala. from May 2-May 4
* This marks the 6th national championship appearance in program history, fourth consecutively
* GSU was eliminated by Stanford in the opening round of action in last year's NCAA Tournament.
