GSU Set for East vs. West Invitational in Texas

ATLANTA - After collecting wins over No. 15 Stetson and FGCU last weekend, No. 18 Georgia State (8-9) will face four-ranked opponents at the East vs. West Invitational in Austin, Texas. This marks the first visit to Austin in program history. Action begins Friday, March 21 and concludes Saturday, March 22. 

Georgia State will first face No. 2 Loyola Marymount at 12:30 p.m. E.T. Friday before facing No. 11 Arizona State at 5:00 p.m. GSU will seek their first win over LMU in program history. Meanwhile. the Sandy Panthers will look to build their success against Arizona State, holding a 3-1 record over the Sun Devils. Georgia State will return to the sand Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. to face No. 13 Grand Canyon. GSU will conclude play with a meeting against No. 9 California at 1:30 p.m. The Sandy Panthers hold a 2-1 record in the last three meetings against GCU, winning the latest dual, 4-1. In 2024, Georgia State fell in the team's only contest against California. 

This weekend Texas natives, Kealy Dirner, Courtney Smith, and Savannah Ebarb, will compete in their home state. Ayla Johnson and Aree Keller lead the Sandy Panthers in wins this season with 10, splitting time between the first and second positions.
