ATLANTA-- The Georgia State women's track & field team finished its season with seven top ten finishes at the Sun Belt Indoor Championship this week in Birmingham, AL.
 
Senior 
Valissa Brown led the Panthers through the championship series, finishing second overall in the long jump with a 6.00-meter jump. She also marked a personal best with this jump. 
Heard followed up with a second and third place finish in her events, placing third in the 200-meter (23.54) and fourth in the 60-meter final with a time of 7.37. Heard's 200-meter time also broke the program record for the event. 
 
Kayli Williams also scored a top three finish, taking third in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.41 time. 
Brianna Mponzi finished sixth in the 60-meter with 7.49, a personal best. The Panthers' 4x400 relay team placed fifth with a season-best 3:46.30, and 
Jessica James took eighth with 12.05 meters in the triple jump.  
Marissa Palmer finished the 200-meter with a time of 24.23 and 
Lailah Palmer finished with a time of 24.92. Both 
Laila Eiland and 
Justein Whyte also achieved personal bests.

-  Kennedy Jacquet triple jump personal best with 11.75 meters
- Gabriele Key long jump personal best with 5.36 meters
-  Marie Tchocksi long jump season best with 5.24 meters
- Mencia Maruri 3000 meters personal best with a time 10:15.55.
- Julia Martinez 3000 meters personal best with a time 10:39.18.
- GSU Women distance medley relay finished with a time of 12:37.89.
