Georgia State Blanked 1-0 by Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. --The Georgia State Panthers were not able to score a run against Kennesaw State pitcher sophomore Emma Friedel on Saturday and were shut out 1-0 by the Owls.

Senior Emily Hodnett (0-3) started and took the loss in the circle for Georgia State (4-11). The right-hander went six innings, giving up one run on five hits, allowing two walks and striking out five.

In the batter's box, the Panthers were led by senior Chloe Middlebrooks, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double and a walk.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Georgia State did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Panthers went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the seventh, when sophomore Chloe Hatcher made it into scoring position with one out.
