ATLANTA— The Georgia State Panther Athletic Club (PAC) proudly announces the launch of the William "Bill" Dean Reeves Society, otherwise known as the Reeves Society, a new philanthropic leadership society designed to provide vital support to Georgia State University student-athletes.
Named in honor of a distinguished ambassador of the Georgia State Athletics community, the Reeves Society will directly benefit all sixteen sports programs at Georgia State University, helping elevate the athletic and academic experiences of student-athletes. Through this initiative, members will play a crucial role creating opportunities for student-athletes to excel both on and off the field.
Members of the Reeves Society will become part of an exclusive community of leaders dedicated to transforming Georgia State Athletics. The society offers donors a chance to have a direct and lasting impact on the development and success of student-athletes at Georgia State, ensuring student-athletes have the resources needed to thrive in their sports and academics.
Membership in the Reeves Society comes with a range of elite benefits, including access to exclusive events, experiences, and opportunities to connect with fellow supporters and Georgia State Athletics' leadership. Reeves Society membership is accessible upon committing a multi-year gift to the Intercollegiate Fund, entry level giving having a $25,000 minimum. The level of access and benefits increases with the donor's giving level, ensuring a personalized and meaningful experience for all members.
About Bill Reeves
William "Bill" D. Reeves, a night school attendee who earned a Management degree from Georgia State University in 1959, played a monumental role in the rise of Georgia State's Athletics' prominence.
Since 1988, Reeves' commitment to Georgia State University has been steadfast. Reeves, a longstanding advocate for Athletics, served as a Trustee on the Georgia State University Foundation Board and held many roles over a series of decades on the Georgia State University Athletic Association Board, including Chair, perhaps most notably serving on the Board during the formation of the football program.
Leveraging all resources at his disposal, Reeves service to Georgia State went beyond the giving of his human and intellectual capital. Reeves made countless financial contributions to the success of Athletics including the construction and naming of the Reeves Baseball Fieldhouse in Panthersville in 2003, the creation of the William D. and Susan T. Reeves Endowed Athletic Scholarship in 2006, and a wide variety of other programs for Georgia state student-athletes spanning the course of three decades.
In recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary efforts which transformed Georgia State Athletics, the William "Bill" D. Reeves Society will serve as Georgia State Athletics' leadership giving society, recognizing donors making multi-year commitments of $25,000 and above to the Intercollegiate Fund. The William "Bill" D. Reeves Society will empower Georgia State Athletics to fund programs critical to the department's overall success – contributing to student support, facilities, and operational requirements.
