Panthers Eye Momentum Ahead of Postseason

Georgia State enters Thursday's finale looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to James Madison in its home finale. Despite the setback, the Panthers have won three of their last five Sun Belt matches, securing key results to position themselves solidly within the top half of the league standings.

Under head coach Ed Joyce, Georgia State has continued to show balance on both sides of the ball, outscoring opponents 33–21 on the season while averaging 1.94 goals per game. The Panthers have recorded five shutouts and allowed one goal or fewer in 10 of their 17 matches.

Faddoul Leads Dynamic Offensive Attack

Junior captain Aaliyah Faddoul has once again been a focal point for Georgia State's offense, ranking among national leaders in shots on goal per game (3.0). Faddoul has totaled five goals and five assists (15 points) this season.

Alongside Faddoul, the Panthers boast one of the Sun Belt's most balanced scoring units. Senior forward Emily Glenn and Junior transfer Hina Suzuki share the team lead with six goals apiece, while senior Reese Gordon (four goals, two assists) has delivered three game-winners. Sophomore Sunniyah Tucker anchors the playmaking core with a team-leading six assists, and has added three goals of her own.

As a group, the Panthers have registered 33 goals and 28 assists, with ten different players finding the back of the net this season.

Defensive Strength Anchors GSU Back Line

In goal, redshirt sophomore Ariana Anderson has made 14 starts, recording four shutouts and a 1.34 goals-against average with 53 total saves. Sophomore Alondra Iriarte has contributed one clean sheet in limited action.

Defenders Briana Hill, Brook Nelson, and Therese Brink have been key contributors in Georgia State's defensive shape, combining for over 2,000 minutes played this season. The back line has held opponents to a .131 shot percentage and just 7.8 shots on goal per match.
