Kalina leads Panthers at UNCG Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C -- The Panthers recorded an 897 score through three rounds to finish fifth overall in the UNCG Invitational, their second to last tournament of the season.

Freshman Grace Kalina finished her second collegiate tournament in 4th overall with a three-over par 219 (75-71-73) score to lead the Panthers. She totaled 11 birdies through three rounds, including five in the second round. Kalina had a career-low round of 71 (-1) in the second round to set the pace for the rest of the tournament.

 

Sophomore Lindsey Pak was second on the Panther's leaderboard, finishing tied for 18th overall in the tournament with a ten-over par 226 (77-72-77) score…. She totaled eight birdies throughout the tournament. Pak shot a season low of 72 (even par) in the second round.

Sophomores TK Kongthong and Madison Rookard  finished tied for 25th  overall in the tournament. Both players finished with a score of 229, Kongthong with (81-75-73) and Rookard with (77-77-75).  Kongthong totaled seven birdies in the tournament, including three in both the second and third rounds. Rookard averaged a total of two birdies in each round, finishing with a final total of six.

The Panthers finish out their season at the Edisto Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston on Oct. 27-28.
