THE OPENING KICK: Georgia State, led by Aaliyah Faddoul and Taylor Vance— both seeking their third consecutive game with a goal— travels to Macon, Ga., to face in-state rival Mercer on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7:00 p.m., before ending the week with a home contest against South Carolina on Sunday evening.

RETURNING PANTHERS: Georgia State welcomes back a majority of last season's production, including top goal scorer Aaliyah Faddoul and leading goalkeeper Jaddah Foos. The Panthers also return Graduate Student Callee Maughon, who started every match last season and scored the winning goal in the Panthers Sun Belt Tournament win in 2023. Midfielder Elena Diaz and defender Therese Brink look to help provide much-needed veteran leadership for the Panthers this season.

> Sophomore Aaliyah Faddoul was named Sun Belt Freshman of the Year last season and was named Preseason Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year this season.
    > Faddoul scored her first goal in the first minute of Georgia State's 2-0 win against Kennesaw State. Faddoul is tied for the team lead with two goals this season.
> Goalkeeper Jaddah Foos was named to the second-team All-Sun Belt last season. Foos ranks fourth in the Sun Belt Conference, averaging 4.17 saves per match.
    > Foos recorded her 19th career shutout against Kennesaw State.
> Midfielder Elena Diaz is tied for the team lead with one assist
> Sophmore Taylor Vance scored her first career goal in a 2-0 against Kennesaw State
    > Vance scored her second career goal the next game in a 2-2 draw at Presbyterian.

NEW FACES: The Panthers have 12 true freshmen this season. Six newcomers are from Georgia, while the others come from Richmond, Va., San Antonio Tx., Madrid, Spain, Dallas, Tx., and Huntsville, Al.

» Freshman Sunniyah Tucker scored her first career goal in the Panthers season opening 2-2 draw against Chattanooga. (Aug.15)

TRACKING RECORDS:
> Callee Maughon is six appearances from the Georgia State record of 88.
    > Maughon is also 13 starts away from the Georgia State record of 80.
