ATLANTA, GA-- After a successful 2024 season, head coach
Beth Van Fleet and six Sandy Panthers earn Sun Belt Honors, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Lila Bordis were named to the All-Sun Belt Conference first team. Junior transfer
Aree Keller is the Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year, and head Coach
Beth Van Fleet is the Sun Belt Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.
Beth Van Fleet led the defending 2023 Sun Belt Conference Champions to an undefeated regular season record in conference action. Further, Van Fleet's squad defeated seven SBC opponents by a score of 5-0. Out of conference, the defending Sun Belt Coach of the Year tallied victories over eight nationally ranked opponents including wins over No. 8 LSU and No. 11 Washington. The Panthers represented the Sun Belt in the top-20 rankings every week of the season, consistently ranked at No. 15 but as high as No. 12 . Van Fleet has led the Panthers to an undefeated mark against Sun Belt foes in two seasons of league play. She is among the winningest beach volleyball coaches in the nation with 230 victories in 11 seasons.
Aree Keller, a transfer from South Carolina, has registered 24 victories this season for GSU, playing at flight two. She recorded 10 wins over ranked opponents including wins over No. 8/10 LSU, No. 10 LMU and No. 11 Washington (twice). She posted a 7-0 mark against Sun Belt foes. Additionally, she was named Sun Belt Pair of the Week with partner
Lila Bordis after the pair went 5-0 at Washington's Akil Beach Invitational including a three-set win over the 11th-ranked Huskies to lead GSU the team title.
In addition to Newcomer honors, Keller was named to the All-Sun Belt first team alongside Bordis. Keller and Bordis lead top-seeded and No. 15-ranked Georgia State in wins with 24. The pair posted a record of 24-10, including a 7-0 mark against Sun Belt foes. Keller and Bordis earned 10 victories over pairs from ranked opponents, including two wins against Washington (No. 11), two against LSU (No.8/No. 10) and one vs. Loyola Marymount (No. 10). They won 10 of their final 11 matches.
As the flight one pair for Georgia State, Angel and
Bella Ferary were also named to the All-Conference first team. The sister duo competed the No. 1 position in every match but one and posted a record of 22-12 as a pair, including an 8-0 mark vs. the Sun Belt. The Ferarys collected nine wins over ranked opposition, including victories over No. 6 California and No. 15 Florida Atlantic, which earned them Sun Belt Pair of the Week honors. Before earning 2024 honors, Angel and Bella earned 2023 Sun Belt Conference Pair of the Year and second-team All-Americans. They are the winningest pair in GSU history with 97 career victories.

Savannah Ebarb and junior
Destiny White finalized Georgia State's Sun Belt honors after earning two-time Sun Belt Conference Pair of the Week honors in 2024. The pair registered 21 wins this season, primarily playing in the third and fourth positions. The duo went undefeated in conference action. Out of the league, the pair earned 11 wins over ranked opponents, including victories over No. 4 Florida State and No. 8 LSU. They won 24-22 in the second set to clinch the Panthers' 3-2 win over No. 20 South Carolina in final match of regular season.
After earning Sun Belt honors, Van Fleet and the Sandy Panthers are slated to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships on April 25 against Stephen F. Austin.
