Junior Emily Hodnett (0-6) started and took the loss in the circle for Georgia State (11-34, ). Junior Kate Kastelic was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going five shutout innings while allowing four hits, walking none and striking out two.
In the batter's box, the Panthers were led by Schroyer, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers were trailing 6-0 in the sixth inning when they first put runs on the board. Georgia State managed to push across two runs in the inning. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
