ATLANTA- After winning the Alki Beach Invitational last weekend, Georgia State's Sandy Panthers (19-11) will travel to Columbia, S.C. to compete in the Gamecock Grand Slam, marking the final weekend of play in the regular season. 

Action begins Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. against Sun Belt opponent, Coastal Carolina. The Panthers are undefeated in conference play so far this season, but have yet to play the Chanticleers, who are 22-6. The Sandys last faced Coastal Carolina in the 2023 SBC Championship title match, where GSU downed the Chanticleers 3-0. Friday's play will conclude with a contest against Jacksonville at 3:00 p.m. Overall, the Sandy Panthers boast a perfect 5-0 record against the Dolphins. 

Saturday afternoon GSU will battle No. 10 LSU for the second time this season. Georgia State defeated the Tigers, 3-2, in front of a home crowd during the annual Diggin' Duals tournament. Their win marked the first victory over LSU since 2018 and the highest ranked win since 2022. The weekend will conclude with a meeting with host, No. 20 South Carolina. GSU defeated the Gamecocks, 3-2, during the opening weekend of the 2024 campaign.

GSU will look for continued consistent play from the Ferary sisters, Lila Bordis, Aree Keller, and Savannah Ebarb. Bella Ferary enters the weekend one win shy of her 100th career victory in blue and white. The duo of Bordis and Keller, this week's Sun Belt Conference Pair of the Week, did not drop a match last weekend to help propel the Panthers to victory in Washington. Overall, Bordis and freshman Savannah Ebarb lead the team in wins this season, each with 22.
