BOCA RATON, Fla.-- Freshman
Francesca Miglio scored her second win of the season in Panthers' 5-2 loss at FAU.
Georgia State came out strong in doubles play as they took two out of three doubles matches. The pair
Luciana Galvez and
Sara Radojevic competed at the third doubles flight and downed their opponents 7-6(4). At the second doubles flight, Miglio alongside Junior
Pragnya Kumar fought in a close match and won 7-6(8), clinching the doubles point for the Panthers.
The Panthers went into singles play with a 1-0 advantage, but quickly dropped matches on the first and fifth flights. Miglio then added a second point for the Panthers with a 6-4, 7-5 victory, tying the match at 2-2.
Freshman Radojevic played a three-set match on the fourth singles flight, but fell 5-7, 6-1, 1-6, to give FAU the lead. Kumar and Stanescu played close matches on singles flights two and six, but ultimately fell to their opponents.
