MACON, GA-- Freshman TK Kongthong finished tied for first at the Mercer Invitational on Oct. 28-29 to lead the Panthers through another tournament.
The Panthers finished fourth overall out of 12 teams.
In her fifth overall start for the Panthers, Kongthong marked her first win of her college career after shooting 69-70-72= 211 (-5) through three rounds. The freshman golfer lowered her scoring average to 71.3 in the season.
Sophomore Pariya Sanpanawat finished second on the Panthers' leaderboard and recorded her second top-10 finish of the season after finishing fifth overall in the tournament. Sanpanawat shot 71-69-73= 213 (-3) through three rounds.
Lindsey Pak finished 24th overall with a 227 score. Thin Wai Khaing finished with a score of 235, while Madison Rookard finished with a 240 score.
In the individual round,
Silka Solomon finished with a 290 score.
The Panthers will take an off-season break before returning to action for the spring season at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, hosted by UNC-Greenville, on Feb. 9-11, 2025 at the Hammond Creek Golf Club.
