Panthers Finish Tied Second in Pinetree Intercollegiate

KENNESAW, GA-- Junior Connor MacMillan finished third overall, and the team tied for second, at Kennesaw State's Pinetree Intercollegiate tournament Oct. 14-15. 

The Panthers finished a team score of 900 through three rounds, tying with West Georgia. 

Team Highlights:

  • Connor MacMillan led Georgia State, finishing 3rd individually with rounds of 68, 75, and 73, for a total of 216.
  • Daniel Medellin placed tied for 11th with a consistent performance, posting 74 in each round, for a total of 222.
  • Jordan Jung tied for 20th, scoring 229 over three rounds (78, 77, 74).
  • Cade O'Connell placed tied for 40th with a total score of 235 (76, 78, 81).
  • Cameron Jackson rounded out the team's performance, tying for 42nd place, with rounds of 79, 76, and 81, for a total of 236.

In the individual competition, Brody Tidwell also represented Georgia State and finished 19th with scores of 78, 76, and 74, for a total of 228.

Georgia State's strong finish placed them in contention throughout the tournament, with standout performances from MacMillan and Medellin anchoring their solid overall showing.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 19, for the two-day Furman Intercollegiate, where they'll look to build on their strong performance at The Pinetree.
