ATLANTA, -- Georgia State battled to a 2-2 draw against Old Dominion on Sunday, Oct. 13, at the GSU Soccer Complex. After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Panthers leveled the score in the 70th minute when Aaliyah Faddoul found the back of the net, assisted by Emily Glenn. Georgia State took the lead late in the match with Reese Gordon's 89th-minute goal, set up by Sunniyah Tucker. However, Old Dominion equalized seconds later on a penalty kick to secure the draw. Callee Maughon broke the Georgia State all-time record for career appearances on a milestone day with her 89th match.
How it Happened
Old Dominion started the scoring when Rhea Kijowski scored in the 37th minute, assisted by Brooke Edwards and Laura Klebek.
The Panthers responded to tie the game on a goal from Aaliyah Faddoul -- her fifth goal of the season -- in the 69th minute, assisted by Emily Glenn.
Georgia State then broke the tie at 1-1 with Reese Gordon's 88th-minute goal, her first of the season. Sunniyah Tucker assisted the goal.
The Lady Monarchs tied the match at 2-2 with an 88th-minute goal from Kijowski. The 2-2 score held to the finish.

The tie moved Georgia State's record to 1-7-6 overall and 0-2-4 in Sun Belt play.
