MONROE, LA – Georgia State (20-31, 6-13 Sun Belt) fell to ULM (23-28, 5-14 Sun Belt) in game one of the weekend series, 5-4.
Down 1-0 in the third,
Chloe Nadler stepped up to the plate and smashed a solo home run to tie up the game. It was the junior infielders only hit of the game and her seventh home run of the season.
The Warhawks took back the lead in the 4
th with a rbi single before the Panthers bats came alive in the 5
th to go on and score three runs.
Emily Brown who went two for three doubled down left field to bring in a run. Nadler, with two runners in scoring position, took a sacrifice fly to bring a run. Brown stole home shortly after.
ULM scored two more runs in the sixth to go on and win game one.
Elle Doolittle (8-10) took the loss after walking two, letting up six hits and three runs.
Game two of the series will take place tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET.
