No. 11 Sandy Panthers Face Four Top-10 Foes at East Meets West Invitational

ATLANTA— The No. 11-ranked Georgia State beach volleyball team (13-7) travels to Manhattan Beach, Calif. this weekend for the East Meets West Invitational, hosted by No. 2 UCLA. The Sandy Panthers' tournament slate will run from Friday, March 31-Saturday, April 1 and will feature four consecutive top-10 nationally ranked opponents in host No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 USC, No. 7 LMU and No. 8 Hawaii.

No. 11 GSU enters the weekend in California coming off an unbeaten 3-0 performance at the Gamecock Grand Slam. Led by a strong performance by top-flight pair Angel Ferary and Bella Ferary, the weekend in Columbia, S.C. saw the Sandy Panthers secure victory over Tampa, Arizona State and host No. 16 South Carolina.

The Ferary sisters were named Sun Belt Conference Pair of the Week following an unblemished 3-0 mark as a duo in Columbia. The pair charted dominant straight-set wins facing Tampa and Arizona State, and capped the unbeaten weekend by notching a three-set victory at the first flight to down the ranked Gamecocks and clinch match point for GSU.

GSU will begin dual match play on Friday with a battle against No. 7 LMU, followed by No. 8 Hawaii later that afternoon. Saturday will see the Sandys take on the third-ranked Trojans of USC, then close the weekend at Manhattan Beach with a matchup against hosting No. 2 UCLA.

Tournament outings will take place at Manhattan Beach Pier with live scoring available to fans. The Sandy Panthers' dual facing No. 7 LMU will be streamed live at courts 1-3 via Pac-12 Live on Friday at 2 p.m. ET, and can also be viewed for free by downloading the Bally Live app.

Competition at courts 1-3 for the team's second dual against No. 8 Hawaii on Friday will be streamed via Pac-12 Live, and the team's matchup with the hosting and second-ranked Bruins will be streamed in its entirety on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET.
