Ferary Duo Named First-Team All-Conference USA

Huntsville, Ala.— Georgia State beach volleyball sophomores Angel Ferary and Bella Ferary have been named All-Conference USA First-Team as announced by the league on Wednesday. Pairing together at the fourth flight for the Panthers, the sisters have charted a 31-2 record for the regular season while finishing unbeaten facing C-USA opposition in 2022.

The sisters have downed nationally-ranked opposition 17 times on the season with the pair's performance over the spring highlighted by victories over No. 3 Florida State, No. 7 Grand Canyon and twice facing a fifth-ranked LSU. The duo's sole losses for the season came against No. 1 UCLA and a No. 5 ranked TCU.

Five of the conference's seven programs are represented on the All-Conference and All-Freshman teams following a vote by the league's coaches. Conference USA announced its beach volleyball all-conference team and superlative awards ahead of the inaugural 2022 C-USA Beach Volleyball Championship beginning Thursday, April 28. 

Member institutions GSU, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, FIU, ULM, Southern Miss and UAB will compete in the seven-team double-elimination championship. The event will be hosted by C-USA, CCSA, Rally Sports and the Huntsville Sports Commission at John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Ala. 

Dual matches played on Thursday and Friday will be streamed on Varsity Sports Now, and the semifinal and championship dual matches on Saturday, April 30 will be broadcast on ESPN+. Additional information regarding streaming will be posted on the web and to the team's social media accounts leading up to the tournament matches beginning Thursday.
