Ferary Sisters are the Georgia State Student-Athletes of the Week

Angel Ferary and Bella Ferary are the Georgia State Student-Athletes of the Week after leading the Panthers at the CCSA Tournament over the weekend.

The sisters accumulated three wins to end the 2021 beach season at the CCSA Tournament this weekend in Huntsville, Ala.

The AVCA High School Beach First Team All-Americans played in the No. 5 position throughout the weekend. First, they added to the point total as GSU swept Southern Miss. The following day the twins picked up a ranked win, as the Sandy Panthers advanced to the championship behind a 4-1 victory over No. 12 FIU. In Sunday's Championship the pair earned Georgia State's lone point of the dual.

The Ferary sisters were named to the CCSA All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the event.

The pair accumulated a 19-3 overall record this season. The duo did not play with each other during the beginning of the season, but they hit their stride after the Day of Duals event in downtown Atlanta. Their .864 winning percentage as a pair this year marks the best single season performance by a pair in program history.
