Barley, Johnston Score in Sunday's Senior Day Draw

ATLANTA -- Bree Barley and Maddie Johnston each scored in Sunday's regular season finale as the Panthers battled to a 2-2 draw vs. Georgia Southern.

Sunday's game remained tied at 0-0 until the 65th minute when Barley recorded her fourth goal of the season, assisted by Johnston. The freshman now has three goals in her last five matches.

Just moments later in the 73rd, it was Johnston's turn as she pushed the ball up on a breakaway and beat the Eagles' keeper to put GSU in front 2-0. Johnston's five goals rank second on the team.

The Eagles battled back and scored goals in the 85th and 86th minutes to force overtime, GSU's seventh OT of the season.

Both sides had their chances in OT, but the game ended in a 2-2 draw. It's the second straight meeting between the two sides to end in a draw.

Georgia State will find out its seeding for the Sun Belt Championship in the upcoming days as the conference matches come to a close. The tournament is Nov. 1-7 in Foley, Ala.
