Panthers Head to Arkansas to face Red Wolves, Trojans

Update (10/14/21 - 8:30 p.m.) -- Due to inclement weather moving into the Jonesboro area Friday, GSU's match at Arkansas State will now kickoff at 11:30 a.m. ET.

ATLANTA -- Georgia State will travel to Arkansas for a pair of Sun Belt contests this weekend beginning with Arkansas State Friday followed by Little Rock Sunday.

The Panthers and Red Wolves will kickoff at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Arkansas State is first place in the conference, three points ahead of the fourth-place Panthers. GSU will be looking for its first win over Arkansas State since beating the Red Wolves 5-2 in 2014. The last regular-season match between the two sides ended in a 0-0 draw in 2019.

Georgia State then travels to Little Rock for a 1 p.m. ET kick at Little Rock on Sunday. That game will also be on ESPN+. GSU won 1-0 in the last meeting with Little Rock in 2019. The Trojans are sixth in the conference standings, four points behind the Panthers.

The Panthers currently rank third in the Sun Belt and 39th in the country in total goals after reaching the 30-mark last week. Maddie Johnston leads the league in shots and Brooklynn Fugel, GSU's goal leader, ranks seventh in the conference with five goals. Gracen Crosby's four assists are sixth.
