ATLANTA – The Georgia State women's soccer program added Elon transfer Grace Kiser to the 2020 roster, completing the incoming singing class, head coach
Ed Joyce announced on Friday.
The Panthers will welcome nine total newcomers to the team for the upcoming season, featuring six from the Peach State in midfielder Ana Diaz (Johns Creek, Ga.), forward Brooke Hart (Marietta, Ga.), forward Maddie Johnston (Acworth, Ga.), forward Grace Kiser (Richmond Hill, Ga.), forward Callee Maughon (Athens, Ga.), and defender Sophie Schweizer (Kennesaw, Ga.). The incoming class also includes midfielder Gracen Crosby (Spokane Valley, Wash.), goalkeeper Jaddah Foos (Baltimore, Md.), and defender Uma Yadav (Sant Pol de Mar, Spain).

"Gracen comes to us from the west coast where she played for Pacific Northwest," Joyce said. "She is very calm on the ball and very adept at dictating tempo. She will fit in nicely with our style of play."
Ana Diaz

Represented her home country of Puerto Rico in the 2020 CONCACAF Women's U20 Tournament, starting in all four matches … Became one of the youngest players to start a match at the FIFA CONCACAF Qualifier against Haiti and Suriname in October 2019 … Was a 2016 US National Training Camp invitee … Helped her team win the 2016-17 Georgia State Cup … Was Named to the Olympic Development Program State and Region III team from 2014-16.
"Ana is an extremely technical player with a high football IQ," Joyce said. "She recently gained experience playing for the Puerto Rico U20 national team and we are excited to see how that translates to the college game."

"Brooke is a dynamic attacking player that we expect to contribute anywhere in the front three for us," Joyce said. "She has played at a very high level for Concorde Fire in the ECNL and we are looking forward to her arrival on campus."
Maddie Johnston

"Maddie is a proven goal-scorer at club level," Joyce said. "Her honest work rate will lend itself nicely to what we do here. We are excited to see what she will do at GSU."
Grace Kiser

"Grace is a Georgia girl who comes to us via Elon as a transfer," Joyce said. "She plays primarily as a target forward but can operate underneath as well. We are looking forward to her bringing some experience to our young attacking group."

"Callee likes to operate in wide areas and in many ways is a throwback," Joyce said. "She loves to take players on when in possession and her work rate is unmatched. We are really looking forward to getting her involved."
Sophie Schweizer

Earned a US Soccer invite to the DA Winter Showcase in 2019 … Helped her club team win the DPL SE Conference championship and qualify for nationals in 2019 … Was a 2019 GACA All-Star game selection … Named to the Second Team All-County in 2019 … Was an All-Region Honorable Mention during her junior year … Was apart of the Tophat ECNL team that qualified for the national tournament in 2017 and finished in fourth place at the national tournament in 2016.
"Sophie is a very intelligent player who can feature anywhere across the back four," Joyce said. "She gained invaluable experience playing for NASA/Tophat, one of the better clubs in the southeast."

Was a regional team player for Maresme Coast and Barcelona … Helped her club team finish in fourth place in the Catalonia Cup in 2016-17 … Helped her club team win their league and earn promotion to the top division in 2015-16.
"Uma comes to us from Spain where she played at the same level as our current Spanish players Jimena, Eva and Maria," Joyce said. "She can play multiple positions, but we expect her to contribute across the back four."
