ATLANTA- After a 3-0 weekend in Charleston, No. 18 Georgia State beach volleyball (8-3) returns home for the Day of Duals tournament Tuesday at the GSU Beach Complex. The day will be highlighted by a dual with fellow CCSA member No. 16 TCU at 9:00 a.m. The Panthers will also battle UNF (2-4) at 1:00 p.m. and Mercer (2-9) at 5:00 p.m.

Georgia State has had great success on the home sand in years past. The Panthers were 5-1 at the GSU Beach complex last year, and own a 11-1 home record over the past two seasons.

The Sandy Panthers will look to take the dual against TCU after falling to the Horned Frogs in Texas last season 3-2. TCU returns ten players from last year's roster. The Horned Frogs ended action in 2019 with a run to the CCSAÂ Beach Tournament Quarterfinals.Â

In the afternoon GSU will face a pair of familiar opponents as State takes on UNF and Mercer both for the second time this season. The Sandy Panthers defeated the Ospreys 4-1 on the first day of competition at the UNF Invitational. The next day the Sandy Panthers earned their first sweep of the season while battling Mercer.Â

Georgia State is coming off a 3-0 weekend at the College of Charleston Creekside Beach Classic that included a win over CCSA rival College of Charleston. The Sandy Panthers have earned five-straight wins, including four-straight sweeps.Â

Admission to Georgia State's Day of Duals is free and parking is available for $3 in the G Deck with entrances located on Collins Street, Courtland Street, and Central Avenue.
