ATLANTA – Senior midfielder Brooke Shank was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Shank scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in GSU's 2-0 victory over Louisiana Friday night, taking a career-high seven shots, including three on target. She finished the weekend with eight shots and four on goal for a .500 shot on goal percentage, playing a pivotal role in the Panthers' back-to-back victories.
The Cedar Park, Texas native has fired 27 total shots this season – tied for the most on the team – and has placed 12 on frame. Shank's seven shots against Louisiana were tied for the second-most shots in a single match among all players in the Sun Belt.
