* No. 8 Georgia State (15-2) took down Mercer 4-1 Tuesday in Macon.
* The Panthers have won seven straight and improve to 8-0 all-time versus the Bears.
* The Panthers go to Miami Beach this weekend to compete at the FIU Surf & Turf Invitational.
ATLANTA – Georgia State extended its win streak to seven Tuesday with a successful trip to Macon, defeating the Mercer Bears 4-1 to improve to 15-2 on the season.
Georgia State got wins in Flights 1, 2, 3 and 5 to clinch its eighth win in as many meetings with Mercer. Sara Olivova and Jansen Button competed in the top flight and won in straight sets to move to 16-1 on the year. The All-American duo is a perfect 7-0 in Flight 1.
In the second spot, Katelyn Rawls and Nina Interwies won 21-13, 21-19 and are now 12-4 in the top two flights. Milani Pickering and Delaney Rohan are second on the team in wins, and kept pace with Olivova/Button on Tuesday with a straight-set victory in Flight 3. The pair clinched the dual for GSU while improve to 15-1 in 2016. Chloe Cook and Allie Elson rounded out the top five pairs and also won in straight sets, 21-19, 21-12.

The Panthers are back on the road this weekend as the squad hits Miami Beach to face four opponents at the fourth annual FIU Surf & Turf Invitational. GSU will take on No. 2 USC, South Carolina, FAU and No. 10 FIU on Friday and Saturday.
