BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 10 Georgia State capped off an already impressive weekend with two more victories on Sunday, defeating UL Monroe and LSU at the Tiger Beach Challenge to improve to 8-1 (2-1 CCSA) on the season.
“Each flight contributed to our success this weekend. We're proud of how hard we played, “head coach Beth Van Fleet said. “Our identity has started to emerge. We are going to play hard for every point and continue to improve.”
GSU defeated two top-10 teams on Saturday, and finished off the perfect 5-0 weekend Sunday with a 5-0 sweep of UL Monroe and a 3-2 win against host and CCSA-foe LSU.
