Leading the Panthers to a pair of Sun Belt Conference wins last week, senior Andrei Duarte is this week's Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Duarte finished the week unbeaten with a 4-0 in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles competition over the weekend.

He posted hard-fought doubles wins over conference opponents Nicolas Simkin and Christopher Tasker of Troy, 7-6, and Jack Clements and Louis Delcour of South Alabama, 7-5, at the top position with partner Roberts Grinvalds.

Duarte also secured No. 1 singles victories over Pelayo Antuna of Troy, 6-2, 7-5, and Sebastian Collard of South Alabama, 6-1, 7-6, with the latter serving as a match-deciding point. He improved to 11-3 on the season in both singles and doubles outings with the wins. Duarte helped the team move to second place in the Sun Belt Conference this past weekend.

Georgia State (10-6) will return to the court on Friday traveling to Texas to face UT Arlington at 1 p.m.
