Wyatt Named Sun Belt Freshman Player of the Week

ATLANTA- Erin Wyatt was named the Sun Belt Freshman Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

The Texas native propelled the Georgia State offense as the Panthers picked up three victories over South Alabama, including two 3-0 sweeps. Wyatt recorded double-digit kill performances in each of the contests, leading Georgia State in each match. During the second meeting, Wyatt recorded a career best 17 in route to compiling a .452 hitting percentage. The 17 kills marks the fourth most kills by a Sun Belt player in a three-set match this season. The following day Wyatt would quickly surpass her record, throwing down 19 kills. Additionally, in the series finale she added 17 digs, marking her second double-double of her collegiate career.  

Overall this season Wyatt has accumulated 106 kills, the fourth most on the team. 

Next week Wyatt and the Panthers travel to Foley, Ala. to participate in the Sun Belt Tournament.
